Until today, on June 24th, in Romania, 24.826 cases of people infected with the COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 17.391 were declared cured and discharged.

Until today, 1.555 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
Between 23.06.2020 (10:00) – 24.06.2020 (10:00) were registered 16 deaths (12 men and 4 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Argeș, Buzău, Călărași, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Ilfov, Sibiu, Suceava and Vrancea.
Among these, 1 death was recorded in the age category 50-59 years, 3 death in the age category 60-69 years, 8 deaths in the age category 70-79 years, 4 deaths in people over 80 years.
All deaths are from patients who have experienced comorbidities.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 321 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 186 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 1.186 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 72.377 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
Until today, 651.003 tests have been processed at the national level.
In the last 24 hours, 469 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112, and 4.963 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 362 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 137.200 lei.
At the same time, on June 23th a.c., 70 persons who did not comply with the measure of home isolation or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days or the measure of institutionalized quarantine.
Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 3.605 Romanian citizens were confirmed as infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,885 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 107 in France, 887 in Germany, 97 in the United Kingdom , 28 in Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates United, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 114 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 9 in Spain, 6 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, they died.
31 of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 10 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
