Since the entry into force of Military Ordinance no. 2 and until the end of the state of emergency established on the Romanian territory, 2,304 people who have not followed and did not comply with the period of self-isolation have been placed in institutionalized quarantine. Also, 238 people in quarantine left the location where they were placed, for which the quarantine measure was ordered for a new period of 14 days.

With the establishment of the alert state, for persons coming to Romania from abroad, the measure of isolation / quarantine at home together with their family / relatives they live with, and for those who do not have the possibility to meet the conditions for the measure or request it for not to expose his family, one can choose for the measure of institutionalized quarantine in spaces provided by the authorities.

Persons who do not comply with the isolation / quarantine measures at home will be placed in institutionalized quarantine for a period of 14 days to bear the value of accommodation and food for this period.

Persons in institutionalized quarantine on this date, remain in quarantine in the respective premises until the end of the 14-day period.

Starting with 15.05.2020, the movement of persons in is allowed outside the home / household, inside the localities, in compliance with the measures to prevent the spread of the infection and to avoid the formation of pedestrian groups larger than 3 persons who do not belong to the same family.

It is forbidden to move people outside the locality / metropolitan area with the following exceptions:

  1. a) traveling in professional interest, including between home / household and the place / places where the professional activity takes place and back;
  2. b) traveling for humanitarian or voluntary purposes;
  3. c) traveling for agricultural activities;
  4. d) traveling for the sale of agri-food products by agricultural producers;
  5. e) traveling for the care or administration of a property in another locality or the issuance of documents necessary to obtain certain rights;
  6. f) traveling to participate in programs or procedures in treatment centers;
  7. g) moving for other justified reasons, such as caring for / accompanying children / family members, caring for a relative / relative or person in maintenance, assistance to the elderly people, sick or disabled persons, death of a family member;
  8. h) traveling for medical assistance that cannot be postponed or made remotely;
  9. i) travel for individual recreational-sports activities carried out in the air free (cycling, hiking, running, rowing, mountaineering, hunting, fishing and others) with the participation of up to 3 people.
  10. j) travel for participation in family events, with a limited number of people and compliance with the rules of social distance;
  11. k) travel for the acquisition, service, performance of ITP or other operations of

vehicle maintenance, activities that cannot be performed in the locality of residence.

Until today, 15th of May, in Romania, 16,437 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Among the people confirmed positive, 9,370 of them were declared cured and were discharged.

In the same time, so far, 1056 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița- Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galați, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Călărași, Maramureș and Olt, died.

 

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 190 new cases of illness have been registered.

 

At the moment, 219 patients are hospitalized at ATI.

 

On the Romanian territory, there are 14,441 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 14, 917 people are in solitary confinement at home and they are under medical supervision.

 

Until today, 204,601 tests have been processed at national level.

 

In the last 24 hours, 364 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 3,798 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.

 

Through the enabled structures of the M.A.I. so far, 578 criminal cases have been drawn up, under the aspect of committing the crime of thwarting the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 para. 1 in Penal Code.

 

 

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, according to information obtained by Romanian diplomatic missions and consular offices abroad, 2,887 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,698 in Italy, 561 in Spain, 29 in France, 453 in Germany, 86 in the UK, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 3 in the USA, 4 in Austria, 3 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Turkey and one each in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil and Sweden. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 103 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 34 in Great Britain, 8 in Spain, 5 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the USA and one in Brazil, died.

Among the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 22 were declared cured: 9 in Germany, 9 in France, 2 in Indonesia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.

We remind citizens to consider only the information verified by official sources and to call for recommendations and other information on the line TELVERDE – 0800.800.358. The TELVERDE number is not an emergency number, it is a telephone line strictly assigned to inform citizens. Also, Romanians abroad can request information about preventing and combating the virus at the line specially dedicated to them, +4021.320.20.20.

Other decisions, as well as other data of interest, will be made public as soon as possible.

Until 14th of May 2020, 1,277,188 cases have been reported in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra. Most cases have been reported in Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom.
