Until today, on May 27th, in Romania, 18.594 cases of people infected with COVID – 19 virus (coronavirus) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 12.162 were declared cured and discharged.

At the same time, so far, 1219 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, hospitalized in Dolj, Bucharest, Iași, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiș, Cluj, Neamț, Hunedoara, Constanța, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomița, Bistrița -Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Vrancea, Galați, Caraș-Severin, Mureș, Giurgiu, Bihor, Argeș, Vaslui, Botoșani, Alba, Sălaj, Brașov, Mehedinți, Teleorman, Gorj, Prahova, Vâlcea, Călărași, Maramureș, Olt and Ilfov, they died.
Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, another 165 new cases of illness have been registered.
At the moment, 198 patients are hospitalized at ATI.
On the Romanian territory, there are 4.935 people in institutionalized quarantine. Another 82.655 people are in solitary confinement at home and are under medical supervision.
Until today, 397.563 tests have been processed at national level.
In the last 24 hours, 402 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 1.093 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.
As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 15.05.2020 regarding some measures for preventing and combating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 181 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 142.400 lei.
Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 2 crimes were found yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.
On 26 th of May, 61 persons who did comply with the measure of isolation at home or quarantine were placed in institutionalized quarantine for 14 days .
We remind citizens to consider only the information verified by official sources and to call for recommendations and other information on the line TELVERDE – 0800.800.358. The TELVERDE number is not an emergency number, it is a telephone line strictly assigned to inform citizens. Also, Romanians abroad can request information about preventing and combating the virus at the line specially dedicated to them, +4021.320.20.20.
