To date, on October 30th, 1,640,607 cases of infection with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been registered in Romania, of which 8,251 are from reinfected patients, tested positive for more than 180 days after the first infection. .

1,395,357 patients were declared cured.

In the last 24 hours, 12,106 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were registered, of which 141 are of reinfected patients, tested positive for more than 180 days after the first infection.

*Regarding the “new cases not allocated by counties”, we specify that their number is determined by the changes brought to the electronic platform through which the test results for the new coronavirus are reported and centralised. Thus, according to the new methodology, the testing centers directly introduce the results of the tests performed, and the epidemiological investigation will be performed at the level of the Public Health Directorates and the positive cases will be assigned to the county / locality to which the infected persons belong.

** Regarding the cases from abroad, these are cases of some citizens who came to Romania being infected in other countries. These cases were included in the total number of new cases not allocated by counties.

The coefficient of infections accumulated at 14 days, reported per 1.000 inhabitants is calculated by the Public Health Directorates, at the level of Bucharest Municipality and counties. Below you have the graph based on the reports received by CNCCI from the Public Health Directorates:

Apart from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 1.268 people were reconfirmed positively. The distribution by county of these cases can be found in the table below:

To date, 47,324 people diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection have died.

Between 29.10.2021 (10:00) – 30.10.2021 (10:00) 413 deaths (203 men and 210 women) were reported by INSP, of which 18 prior to the reference interval, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus , hospitalized in hospitals in Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Bihor, Botoșani, Brașov, Brăila, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Giurgiu, Gorj, Harghita , Ialomița, Ilfov, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Neamț, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Teleorman, Timiș, Vaslui, Vâlcea, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of the 413 deaths, 2 were registered in the age category 20-29 years, 5 in the age category 30-39 years, 19 in the age category 40-49 years, 36 in the age category 50-59 years, 107 in age group 60-69 years, 139 in the age category 70-79 years and 105 in the age category over 80 years.

380 of the registered deaths are of some patients who presented comorbidities, 16 deceased patients did not register comorbidities, and for 17 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

18 deaths were reported prior to the reference interval, which occurred in the counties of Bacău, Dolj, Gorj, Maramureș, Ilfov and the Municipality of Bucharest, in October 2021. In the reference interval, 395 deaths were reported.

Out of a total of 413 patients who died, 369 were unvaccinated and 44 vaccinated. The 44 vaccinated deceased patients were between the ages of 40-49 and over 80 years. 41 of the vaccinated deceased patients had comorbidities, and no comorbidities were reported for 3 patients.

In the specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 19,784. Of these, 1,858 are hospitalized at Intensive Care Units.

Out of the total number of hospitalized patients, 421 are minors, 390 being hospitalized in wards and 31 in Intensive Care Units.

To date, 10,292,290 RT-PCR tests and 4,426,283 rapid antigen tests have been processed nationally. In the last 24 hours, 22,113 RT-PCR tests were performed (11,511 based on the case definition and medical protocol and 10,602 on request) and 40,207 rapid antigen tests.

In Romania, 149,015 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home, and 19,257 people are in institutional isolation. Also, 57,621 people are in quarantine at home, and 101 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 6,637 calls were registered to the unique emergency number 112 and 574 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), open especially for informing citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on October 29, 3,470 sanctions for minor offenses, amounting to 687,126 lei.

Also, through the competent structures of the Police, 4 criminal files were drawn up yesterday to thwart the fight against diseases, a deed provided and punished by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the citizens that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has operationalised, starting with 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the sanitary protection norms can be notified.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 23.768 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 2,548 in Italy, 16,946 in Spain, 199 in the United Kingdom, 130 in France, 3,124 in Germany, 97 in Greece, 49 in Denmark, 37 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 5 in the USA, 8 in Sweden, 145 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 75 in Switzerland, 4 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 8 in Bulgaria, 26 in Cyprus, 4 in India, 5 in Ukraine, 8 in United Arab Emirates, 17 in Republic of Moldova, 3 in Montenegro, 218 in Ireland, 5 in Singapore, 5 in Tunisia, 10 in Korea, 2 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2 in Serbia, 6 in Croatia and one each in Argentina, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Kazakhstan, the Republic of the Congo, Qatar, the Vatican, Portugal, Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Slovenia, the Russian Federation, Finland, Poland and Kuwait and Nigeria. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and until now, 195 Romanian citizens abroad, 37 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 60 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, 3 in Sweden, 5 in Ireland, 2 in Switzerland, 2 in Austria, one in the USA, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of Congo, one in Greece, one in Iran, one in Poland, one in Bulgaria and one in Nigeria, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 798 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg, one in Tunisia and one in Argentine.

Below we present the situation regarding the infection with the SARS – CoV – 2 virus at European and global level:

Between 21 October, 2021- 28 October, 2021 40.331.852 cases were reported in the EU / EEA. Most cases have been reported in France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

As of 15 December, the CEPCB has stopped publishing data on the number of confirmed cases and the number of deceased citizens, both in the EU / EEA, the United Kingdom, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland, Andorra and globally. These reports are updated weekly.

Data published by Johns Hopkins CSSE, targeting the number of healed citizens, continues to be updated daily.
