Good morning, Mr. Secretaries of State, Mr. Ambassador, Mr. General, dear representative of the Elbit company, dear guests!
The Ministry of Interior continues to equip its forces with new technologies and emergency response capabilities. In other words, it continues to strengthen its capacity to assist citizens and communities in emergency situations.
We have in front of us a technique produced in Romania, through collaboration with the Elbit Company from Israel, so Israeli and Romanian technology, produced in Romania, at NATO standards.
Emergency situations, unfortunately, represent an increasingly accentuated challenge for the forces and capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, for multiple reasons, from climate change, to the complexity of some installations that are used in everyday life, in the activity social and economic, which can sometimes produce accidents, limit situations, in which we need to have a response capacity.
In such situations, planning and communication are essential. However, these command centers that we have in front of us are key, important elements for good planning of action in the field and for good communication.
I would also emphasize the fact that these endowments are also financed by European money, so here we are again with the same ingredients, the same elements that, combined, through administrative action, namely European funds, Romanian effort, collaboration with strategic partners, technology, dedication, vision , produce an outcome that ultimately benefits citizens and our communities.
I would like to congratulate all those who contributed to this result, starting with, of course, the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department of Emergency Situations, but also those who produced these technological capabilities and, last but not least, the company from Israel, the Elbit company, and the collaboration between our ministry and this company, the support of the Embassy as well. Thank you all!
May God grant that there will be as few situations as possible in which these centers to be necessary. In any case, the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all the arms of the ministry are ready to assist the citizens, including in the days ahead, so that everyone, the citizens, the communities, our guests who spend their holidays here in Romania, benefit from peaceful days, clear days, in which they can reunite with their loved ones and relax on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, to welcome the New Year with optimism and courage.
